Wildcards, league Officials are now enforcing new SPO official rule.
This rule applies to both men and women.
The rule is written very simply into the body of SPO rules, which states:
No outfielder may make a force out at first base.
The league rules for 2012 have been published and distributed so the umpires have begun to apply this SPO rule in games, because there is no exception to it in our league rules.
The Executive Committee has decided not to alter the league rules for 2012 so this rule will apply for the balance of this season. The Executive Committee will put this in the questionnaire for this year.
