Willowdale, ON - The Wildcards (8-0-0-0, +116) defeated the second place TD Waterhouse Warriors (6-1-1-0, +34) in a showdown for top spot with a final score of 19-10 giving the Warriors their first defeat of the season.
It was a hotly anticipated match given that both teams were undefeated going to Sunday night's matchup.
Steven 'Chokolate' Saks hit for the cycle on Sunday night. However, controversy struck the Wildcards' star slugger. Witnessing his 4th home run of the season, TD accused Chokolate of either juicing or using cork bats.
'Ha. Wildcards don't cheat. They don't know that they're talking about. The only juice I like is Jesus juice' said the outspoken Chokolate at the post game conference.
This game marked the return of Lindsay 'Crunchie' Siurna into the lineup.
'It's great playing ball again. I'm confident the team will be finishing strong heading into the playoffs. I'm excited' said the 3rd baseman.
The Wildcards have now won their last 8 going into Sunday's game with the Beernuts (1-7-0-0, -45).
